Certified Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach

Meet your Therapist

Kristina Faulkner is deeply passionate about teaching new therapists through clinical supervision, seeing it as a vital opportunity to foster growth and understanding in the field. With her extensive experience, she creates a supportive environment where emerging professionals can explore their thoughts, refine their skills, and develop their unique therapeutic styles. By guiding them through complex cases and encouraging self-reflection, she aims to instill confidence and competence in her supervisees. This commitment to nurturing the next generation of therapists not only enhances their clinical practice but also enriches the overall mental health community.

Grief coaching is a specialized form of support that guides individuals through the complex and often overwhelming emotions associated with traumatic grief. My own personal experience with loss has equipped me with a profound understanding of the nuanced journey that accompanies such pain. Having navigated my own grieving process, I can empathize deeply with the feelings of despair, anger, and confusion that may arise. This lived experience enables me to create a compassionate space where clients feel safe to explore their emotions, share their stories, and begin to heal. By drawing on my own challenges and resilience, I can offer insights and strategies that resonate with those facing similar hardships, fostering connection and hope in their journey toward recovery.

Despite having cultivated healthy coping skills in my past, I am unfortunately not immune to grappling with my own insecurities regarding my body—especially as I grow older and begin to understand what society considers the “ideal body,” which I often feel does not, in fact, apply to me at all. I fully understand the pressure that comes with these societal expectations, and I can empathize with the frustration that arises from the desire to achieve your ideal body yesterday. I can help take you on your personal journey, not only emotionally and mentally but also physically as well, through personal training tailored to your unique needs and goals.

Lastly, no matter what reason or personal circumstances have brought you to my page today, I want you to know that I fully acknowledge and understand that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution; rather, it is a deeply personal and individualized journey that each person uniquely embarks upon. Each client’s therapy experience is distinctly theirs, reflecting their individual histories and emotions, and they truly need the necessary space and ample time to explore what it genuinely means for them to discover joy in their everyday lives, embrace their ever-changing bodies, cultivate a genuine and meaningful sense of purpose, and ultimately feel truly alive and vibrant again. The encouraging news is that they don’t have to undertake this profound and transformative journey alone. That’s exactly what I’m here for—to provide unwavering support, compassionate guidance, and deep understanding along the way as they navigate their unique path toward healing and lasting growth.

Make Life Worth Living

Investment & Insurance

Do You Take Insurance?

While I do not participate as an in-network provider with insurance companies, I want you to know that I am happy to provide you with a super-bill. This document can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement, helping to ease some of the financial burden associated with therapy sessions.

What is the out of pocket investment to participate in therapy?

I truly appreciate you taking the time and investing your resources into your personal growth and/or the well-being of your child, and I want you to know that I don’t take that commitment for granted. I take pride in being a solution-focused and action-oriented therapist, which means that our sessions will concentrate specifically on your individual goals and aspirations. By maintaining this focused approach, you will receive the support you need, empowering you to ultimately live your best possible life!

Why don’t you take insurance?

I do not participate with any insurance panels and am classified as an out-of-network provider, and here are some reasons why that decision is important to me. Insurance companies often dictate not only the time allotted for sessions—specifying the frequency and length of appointments—but also seek to influence the course of treatment as well as the specific treatment modalities that can be utilized.

Additionally, they typically require a mental health diagnosis in order to provide any reimbursement. I prefer to focus on my clients’ specific needs and circumstances, as I truly do not believe there is a “one size fits all” method when it comes to effective therapy. To support my clients, I am more than happy to provide a super-bill upon request, which can be submitted to your insurance companies for out-of-pocket reimbursement. Furthermore, I can provide additional information about this process during the intake procedure.

What is the investment?

  • Initial Intake Appointment (55 minutes, virtual): $150

  • 45-minute Individual talk session (virtual): $130 per session
